THE PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
A LEVEL OF SIMPLICITY AND ACCURACY - ONLY OFFERED BY EXTEND3D
WERKLICHT by EXTEND3D consists on the hardware side of the “eyes” in the form of one or two cameras and an industrial laser or beamer for projection. Under the hood, there are components of the highest quality, as well as a lot of high-tech to ensure the highest projection accuracy even in rugged applications and harsh environmental conditions. But it is the intelligent WERKLICHT 3D software that brings the WERKLICHT to life. It is the key to bringing your 3D data to the component in the correct position, if required dynamically, mobile or automated, but always simple and precise.
IDENTIFY, COMPARE, VISUALIZE
First, existing CAD data from all standard data formats is input into the system. The software then compares the saved plans with the real work piece, either with the aid of markers “simply” affixed to the work piece or markerless.
CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVE? NO PROBLEM!
Both the work piece and the projector can adopt different positions in the process, or can even move – the motion is compensated by the software in real time.
HIGHLIGHTING, GUIDANCE, SIMULATING
This principle of operation allows the accurate marking of working points, areas or notes on work steps directly on the work piece. Laser and video projection enable different applications. Furthermore, different surfaces or colours can be simulated in the correct perspective or hidden areas shown by projecting static or moving images in 3D.
SIMPLE, INTUITIVE AND FAST
Despite the combination of complex technologies, the intuitive user interface means that the employees can use it after just a brief familiarization period. The system is also portable and ready for use in just a few minutes.
